NaijaBridge is an independent private consultancy. Official passport fees are set by the Federal Ministry of Interior (Nigeria Immigration Service) and are paid by you, directly on the official portals — never through us, never marked up. You receive one written cost summary that separates our £50 application-support fee from every official and third-party charge, before you approve anything.
Official NIS Passport Fees (USD)
Nigerian passport fees for UK applicants are charged in US dollars on the official NIS portal. These are the current published figures for the international category — the live USD amount at the payment step is always what applies.
Source: official NIS passport portal, passport.immigration.gov.ng. Child applications pay the same government fee as the 5-year adult booklet — there is no separate child rate. 10-year booklets are not available to minors.
Nigeria High Commission London Admin Fee
The Nigeria High Commission London public notice of September 2026 sets a £20 administrative charge for the current passport exercise, payable through the High Commission's official payment portal, payments.nigeriahc.org.uk. It is shown here as its own official charge — never blended into our fee. Because notices change, we reconfirm this charge for every case before payment and do not present it as permanent.
Total Nigerian Passport Renewal Cost in Pounds
The full renewal cost UK applicants should plan for — split into our fee and the official charges you pay directly.
*Estimates at $1 ≈ £0.79, split into our fee and official charges. Official fees and exchange rates are confirmed per client at quote time — the live USD figure at the NIS payment step is what applies. Official fees are non-refundable once paid. Official charges checked 30 Sep 2026.
NIN enrolment fee status: NIMC states enrolment at licensed UK centres is free of charge. We have not independently verified this — we confirm the current position with you at pre-check before anything is paid.

Nobody — including us — can legally pay to speed up Nigeria Immigration Service processing or jump the biometric appointment queue. Anyone offering that is misleading you. We never claim to speed up official government processing. What our £50 covers is our own work — review, checks and preparation — not the government's, which no one can accelerate.
Fee FAQs
The money questions people actually search for — answered plainly.
How much is Nigerian passport renewal in the UK?
For 2026 the estimated total is about £198 for a 5-year passport and about £261 for a 10-year passport — our £50 application-support fee plus the official charges ($162 or $242 including the $12 gateway, plus the £20 High Commission administrative charge). Estimates at $1 ≈ £0.79; official fees and exchange rates are confirmed per client at quote time.
Why are Nigerian passport fees in US dollars?
The NIS international portal processes all overseas consular and passport tariffs in USD through an approved payment processor. You can pay with a standard UK debit or credit card; your bank's conversion charge is variable and is labelled as variable — never as profit for us.
Is the £20 High Commission admin fee permanent?
It follows the Nigeria High Commission London public notice of September 2026 for the current exercise. We reconfirm it for every case before payment and do not present it as a permanent charge without reconfirmation.
Can I pay everything to you in one card payment?
No — and that is deliberate. One card charge labelled only "passport fee" would blur our role with the government's. You receive one written cost summary, but two clearly owned payments: our £50 invoiced to us, and the official charges paid by you directly on the official portals, with receipts in your name.
Are government fees refundable if my application is refused?
No. Official fees are non-refundable once paid to NIS, regardless of outcome. That is exactly why the free eligibility check and the two-working-day document review exist — we catch refusal causes before any official fee is paid.
What happens if my portal payment fails?
Do not pay again blindly. Check the portal status and payment reference first — a payment that has not flipped to 'Paid' produces no acknowledgment slip. We help you verify the reference and status before any retry, so you are never charged twice.
