Questions people ask before they message us

Your question might already be answered.

For current costs, see the Nigerian passport renewal fee UK breakdown.

How fast will you reply?

WhatsApp: under 2 hours during UK response hours, Mon–Sat. Email: within one working day. Website chat (Tawk.to): same-day replies when online. WhatsApp is always the fastest route to a named human.

What will I pay in total — your fee plus government fees?

You receive one written cost summary with two clearly owned payments: our flat £50 application-support fee, invoiced to us; and the official charges — $162 (5-year) or $242 (10-year), each including the $12 gateway charge, plus the £20 High Commission administrative charge per the September 2026 notice — which you pay directly on the official NIS and NHC portals, receipts in your name. Child applications pay the same $162 as the 5-year adult booklet. GBP figures are estimates at $1 ≈ £0.79; the live USD figure at the payment step governs. Official charges checked 30 Sep 2026.

Why do government fees differ from what I've seen elsewhere?

NIS sets its portal fees in US dollars and updates them periodically, and the High Commission admin charge follows a dated public notice. Older guides and third-party sites often quote out-of-date numbers, so always trust the figure shown at the official payment step — and our written cost summary, which is reconfirmed per case.

Is it safe to send document scans over WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is the support channel we use when you choose to continue there, but it is not a dedicated document-management system. We explain the privacy risks first; never send originals, payment details, PINs or one-time codes, and share only the minimum documents needed for your case.

Can I visit an office in person or call you?

No — we are a remote application-support service and do not operate a walk-in passport office in the UK. Consultations run strictly via WhatsApp text/voice notes, email and our website chat (Tawk.to). We do not make or receive voice phone calls or video calls. The only in-person step in the whole process is your own biometric appointment, at the official centre shown on your appointment confirmation.

What should my first message include?

Four things speed up review: your passport expiry date, whether you already have an 11-digit NIN, any travel deadline, and whether it's an adult, child, loss or correction case.

My travel is urgent — can you fast-track it?

Nobody can speed up the Nigerian government, and anyone claiming otherwise is misleading you. What we can do is complete the first document review within two working days of a complete upload, so nothing on your side delays your own appointment booking.

Do you charge for the first consultation?

No. The eligibility check is completely free. After it you receive one written cost summary — our flat £50 fee plus every official charge listed separately. Nothing is paid until you approve it: no hourly billing, no surprise add-ons.
